Suzi was born and raised in Hull, UK and spent 18 years living in London. In London that she became interested in art, mostly impressed by GCSE/A Level of her students and appreciation for Modigliani, Lowry and Dali.
Upon her return to Hull in 2018, she began working in the Hull Institute of Arts in a welfare post but was fascinated by the talent of the art degree students. This admiration of the work led to Suzi creating her own art work.
Suzi is mostly self-taught and has had some tuition on a Sumi e course by a Calligraphy and Japanese Sumi e Master Koshu (Akemi Lucas).
Expression through art is really important to Suzi, and she mostly enjoys creating in a meditative state, with careful attention paid to the emotional energy put into each piece of work.
Suzi aims to demonstrate that we are sovereign creators with more innate ability and creativity than we can imagine. All we need is desire and focus and almost anything you want to learn is easily accessible for free on line.
Art is a passion, mostly carried out as a leisure activity and forms part of Suzi's healing work. By profession, Suzi is a registered Clinician who runs her own private practice. She fulfills contracted welfare work for a local charity (PATT Foundation), where she is an Events Manager, directing community based art exhibitions. The art work replaced the television habit and is Suzi's way to relax.
